This installment of the Department of History’s undergraduate lecture series features Drs. Steve Soper and Jake Short. Professor Soper teaches courses on the history of modern Europe, Italy, microhistory, and the second half of western civ. He is working on a new book about political prisoners in southern Italy on the eve of Italian unification. Professor Short also teaches courses on the history of modern Europe, with a focus on Germany, France, and intellectual history. His current book project explores the idea and limits of global consciousness. Free admission, free pizza.
