Recent alum wins dissertation prize

Matthew Hulbert's ('15) doctoral dissertation "Guerrilla Memory: Irregular Recollections from the Civil War Borderlands" has won the 2015 Lewis Eldon Atherton Prize from the State Historical Society of Missouri (awarded to the best dissertation in Missouri history or biography). Hulbert is the Assistant Editor of the Civil War Governors of Kentucky Digital Documentary Edition and Special Projects Manager of The Civil War Monitor.  He is also Co-Editor of The Civil War Guerrilla: Unfolding the Black Flag in History, Memory, and Myth.
