Exploration of the central nodes of Andean history: the foundation of the Inka empire, the Spanish Conquest, process of modern state formation and the indigenous rights movement in Ecuador, Bolivia, and PerĂº, analyzing how the Andean village adapted to outside exactions and demands without betraying its defining character.
