This is a popular event and we are working to accommodate our graduating seniors. If you did not RSVP by the deadline and would like to come, please email Laurie at history@uga.edu. Once our luncheon table are full, students can still get a seat around the room, so don't hesitate to contact us! This event is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2023 – 12:00-1:30 PM, a luncheon will be provided for our guests. The room will pen by 11:30 am, and Special Collections has a lot of great exhibits to view in the building if you come early - some of them curated by our history students. The reception will include our annual awards and graduation recognition, with a gift for each graduating senior in attendance. This is a luncheon & awards reception and not a commencement ceremony. The 2024 UGA Spring Commencement exercises will be held later in the day on Friday, May 10, 2024. For graduation ceremony information - please see the commencement web site https://commencement.uga.edu/. - A FERPA restriction must be removed in order to appear in the program. - Graduating history seniors who were unable to attend our luncheon are welcome to stop by the department May 12-16 to pick up their graduation gift! ....................... Commencement.uga.edu - As a reminder, students must apply to graduate for the semester in which they will take their last course(s) toward their graduation requirements. Diplomas are mailed six to eight weeks following the conclusion of each semester.
