This is a popular event and we are working to accommodate our graduating seniors. If you did not RSVP by the deadline and would like to come, please email Laurie at history@uga.edu. Once our luncheon table are full, students can still get a seat around the room, so don't hesitate to contact us! This event is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2023 – 12:00-1:30 PM, a luncheon will be provided for our guests. The room will pen by 11:30 am, and Special Collections has a lot of great exhibits to view in the building if you come early - some of them curated by our history students. The reception will include our annual awards and graduation recognition, with a gift for each graduating senior in attendance. This is a luncheon & awards reception and not a commencement ceremony. The 2024 UGA Spring Commencement exercises will be held later in the day on Friday, May 10, 2024. For graduation ceremony information - please see the commencement web site https://commencement.uga.edu/. - A FERPA restriction must be removed in order to appear in the program. - Graduating history seniors who were unable to attend our luncheon are welcome to stop by the department May 12-16 to pick up their graduation gift! ....................... Commencement.uga.edu - As a reminder, students must apply to graduate for the semester in which they will take their last course(s) toward their graduation requirements. Detailed instructions on how to apply are available. - Please see the Registrar’s Office site for complete information regarding diplomas. Diplomas are mailed six to eight weeks following the conclusion of each semester.
