Congratulations to history major Charlsie Wemple!

Congratulations to history major Charlsie Wemple, 2024 recipient of the University of Georgia Presidential Award of Excellence! This prestigious award is handed to undergraduate students in their final year of study who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, heavy extracurricular involvement, and participated in service/involvement with their respective school or college. Charlsie is one out of just 46 students across campus who have been selected for the award.

On track to graduate in May 2024 with a perfect (4.0) cumulative GPA, Charlsie will earn a minor in Transnational European Studies and a certificate in Museum Studies in addition to her history major. She has been active on campus in a large number of student organizations, including the Museum Studies Society, Phi Alpha Theta, Phi Beta Kappa, Literature Club, Chamber Music Society, University Philharmonia, and Knit and Crochet Club and has served as an officer in both the Chamber Music Society and Literature Club. She has volunteered in the community with Books for Keeps and has interned at the Georgia Museum of Art and the Museum of History and Holocaust Education.
