The Department of History is please to introduce a special guest lecture for Black History Month 2018 as part of a month long series of education, memory and celebration. Adrienne Petty, author of Standing Their Ground: Small Farmers in North Carolina since the Civil War, to give a special talk on "Beyond Famous Firsts: Black History Month, Populism and the American Protest Tradition".
