In this session, we talk about one of the best known career moves for history majors — going to law school. Our guests include Logan E. Sawyer III, Associate Professor of Law at UGA (Ph.D. in History and J.D., University of Virginia); Shannon Shipley Hinson, Associate Director of Admissions at the School of Law at UGA (B.A. in History at UGA, 2003; J.D. at UGA, 2006); Roger Grantham, J.D. candidate at UGA and Executive Managing Editor of the Georgia Law Review (B.A. in History at UGA, 2016); and Endia Sowers Paige, Pre-Law Advisor at UGA. Our panelists will discuss what history and law have in common, how law school can play to the strengths that history majors develop as undergrads, and what kinds of things history majors should think about if they're interested in applying to law school. The event is free and open to students of any major.
