Please join Dr. Ethan Blue as he presents his new book The Deportation Express: A History of America through Forced Removal (University of California Press, 2021).  

The Deportation Express: A History of America through Forced Removal is a history of the United States' systematic expulsion of "undesirable" immigrants, told through the lives of the passengers who traveled from around the world, only to be locked up and forced out aboard America's first deportation trains.

Dr. Blue is an associate professor of history at Western Australia University. He is also the author of Doing Time in the Depression: Everyday Life in Texas and California Prisons (NYU Press, 2012). 

Pre-registration is required.
