2024 Annual Graduating Seniors Luncheon & Awards

The Annual History Department Graduation Luncheon is the afternoon of May 10, Commencement Day.

All students who RSVP;d have a seat at a luncheon table. Our luncheon tables are full, but students can still get a seat around the room if they have not RSVP'd, so please join us!

This event is scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2024 – 12:00-1:30 PMThe room will open by 11:30 am, and Special Collections has a lot of great exhibits to view in the building if you come early - some of them curated by our history students.

The reception will include our annual awards and graduation recognition, with a gift for each graduating senior in attendance. 

This is a luncheon & awards reception and not a commencement ceremony. The 2024 UGA Spring Commencement exercises will be held later in the day on Friday, May 10, 2024. For graduation ceremony information - please see the commencement web site https://commencement.uga.edu/.

 - A FERPA restriction must be removed in order to appear in the program.

 - Graduating history seniors who were unable to attend our luncheon are welcome to stop by the department May 12-16 to pick up their graduation gift!

 - As a reminder, students must apply to graduate for the semester in which they will take their last course(s) toward their graduation   requirements.  Detailed instructions on how to apply are available.

  - Please see the Registrar’s Office site for complete information regarding diplomas. Diplomas are mailed six to eight weeks following the   conclusion of each semester.
