Friday, May 9 2025, 12 - 1:30pm 271 Special Collections Library Auditorium 2024-25 graduating History majors are invited to the annual History Department Graduation Reception the afternoon of May 9. The reception will include our annual awards and graduation recognition, with a gift for each graduating senior in attendance. We would like to take a group photo of our prospective graduates following the awards in the auditorium. Students are welcome to bring/wear their gowns and or caps! In addition, we would like to feature some of our student graduation photos in our program and /or social media. To submit your photo for the program, please email a good resolution jpeg image to history@uga.edu. A likeness consent form must be attached from the student. If you have a FERPA restriction, it must be removed in order to appear in the program. We will have prizes for the best decorated history graduation cap, so get creative! Friday, May 9, 2025 – 12:00-1:30 PM. This event is full. The RSVP deadline is past. A casual stand up buffet will be offered in the exhibit hall outside of the auditorium so guests can mingle following the awards and recognition. (No food or drinks are allowed in the auditorium). Students may RSVP March 15- April 20. We are already very full. Make sure you RSVP by the deadline. We cannot exceed maximum capacity of the auditorium. (If you haven't RSVP'd by April 15, guests are limited to 4). Map: Parking for Commencement - Parking for commencement is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Suggested parking areas include, Hull Deck (W05), South Campus Deck (S11), East Campus Deck (E04), and Performing Arts Center Deck (E20). The Tate Center Deck and lot E12 are reserved for designated participants by permit only. For disability parking at Commencement, see disability access. Parking for visitors with disabilities who are attending the history reception at the Special Collections Library is located on Level 3 of the Hull Street deck as well as a pedestrian bridge connecting the parking deck to the quad in front of the Special Collections Library.
