Libia Jiménez Chávez and two colleagues contributed a chapter, Latinx Success Scholars. Community College Transfer Experience in Practice, in the co-edited book, Community College and Beyond: Understanding the Transfer Pipeline for Latina/o/x Students. The book was awarded the 2025 American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE) Book of the Year Award in the Edited Volume Category. .... Libia Jiménez Chávez is a recipient of a Georgia State University Reed Fink Award in Southern Labor History. This award honors Dr. Merl E. Reed and Dr. Gary Fink for their contributions to education, labor studies, and the Southern Labor Archives. Fellowships of at least $250 are awarded annually to individual(s) whose research in the Southern Labor Archives will lead to a book, article, dissertation, or other substantive product. Recipients are required to give presentations about their research to the Georgia State community. Lyn Hemmingway has been awarded a Chase Family Travel Grant for 2025 from the University of Florida's George Smather's Library, in support of his dissertation research.
