Karyna Hlyvynska is a doctoral candidate at the History Department. She specializes in the U.S. economic and financial policy in the years following the Revolutionary War. Her research concerns customs legislation, taxes, national debt, banking, and the emergence of a strong federal government in the United States in the late eighteenth century.
