My research focuses on tourism in the U.S. South following the Civil War. Before matriculating at the University of Georgia, I earned my master's degree from the College of Charleston and the Citadel's joint program, with a thesis focusing on the hotel industry in South Carolina from 1880 to 1930. I earned my bachelor's degree from Stetson University, with a thesis focusing on the development of the Dixie Highway in Florida.
