Rolando Rodriguez studies the political economy of colonial Brazil. He is a 2021-2022 recipient of the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship. Rolando will use this fellowship to advance his formal studies in Portuguese and Lusophone studies. Before coming to UGA, he earned a Master's degree in Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a proud alumnus of California State University, Long Beach. 

Rolando will be continuing his graduate studies at UCLA in fall 2022.
