Kudos to PhD Candidate Terrell Orr! Terrell recently defended his doctoral dissertation, “The Roots of a Global Grove: Labor, Markets, and Nature in the Citrus Industries of Florida and São Paulo.” 
Orr has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards during his time at UGA, including a Graduate School Research Fellowship, Janelle Padgett Knight Graduate Research Award, from the Willson Center, Dissertation Research Abroad, Fulbright-Hays, International Dissertation Research Fellowship, SSR, and others.

David K. Parker will take his oral comprehensive examinations in the Conference Room. The Major Professor is Dr. Peter Hoffer. All members of the university community are invited. If you wish to attend please contact the graduate program office in history at history@uga.edu to ensure adequate seating.

Meeting for all 3rd year/pre-comps PhD History grad students - Required. 

(If you are beyond your 2nd year PhD and have not yet taken/passes comps you need to attend).
